Story Behind the Design
In high school, I studied Japanese and spent a summer there as an exchange student at age 15. I fell in love—with the art, the culture, and yes, the food (tentacles included!). Calamari blends that memory with whimsy: a wide-eyed octopus meets flowing waves inspired by the graceful lines of traditional Japanese art. Calamari celebrates the gift of getting to live in another culture—and how those places stay with us, shaping who we are and how we create.
